Terms and Conditions – “INTERNET2026” Promotion

1. Promotion Organizer

This promotion is organized by the .gt Domain Name Registry, the entity in charge of the marketing and management of the domain name registration service under the .gt extension in the Republic of Guatemala.

2. Validity Period

The promotion will be valid from May 12, 2026, to May 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM (Guatemala local time, GMT-6). Any transaction made outside of this period will not be eligible for the benefits described herein.

3. Purpose of the Promotion

The purpose of this promotion is to encourage the acquisition of new customers through the registration of new domain names under the .gt extension and to promote the digitalization of Guatemala.

4. Promotional Benefit

Users who meet all the established requirements will receive one (1) additional year of service at no cost for each new domain registered. This benefit will be applied as follows:

  • Upon payment for the registration of the new domain name, one (1) additional free year will be automatically assigned.
  • The free year will be applied regardless of the number of years paid for in the initial transaction.

5. Promotional Code

To make the benefit effective, the user must enter the promotional code INTERNET2026 when making the payment on our website.

6. Eligibility Conditions

The promotion will apply only when the following conditions are met concurrently:

  • The registration must correspond exclusively to new domain names under the .gt extension.
  • The following will not be eligible for this promotion:

    • Renewals of existing domain names.

    • Transfers of domain names to another owner.

    • Domain names that have been deleted, canceled, or expired within the three (3) months prior to the registration date.

  • The domain name must comply with the current policies and regulations of the .gt Domain Name Registry.

7. Payment Method

The promotion is valid solely and exclusively for payments made online via credit card.

  • Important restriction: It does not apply to payments made at Banco Industrial branches, electronic transfers, or in-person payments at our offices.

8. Benefit Accreditation and Restrictions

  • The additional year will be credited automatically upon payment confirmation. No manual or retroactive credits will be made.
  • The free year is not transferable to other domains.
  • No cash or in-kind refunds will be made for the value of the granted benefit.

9. Liability

  • The promotion cannot be combined with other offers or discounts.
  • The .gt Domain Name Registry reserves the right to revoke the benefit in case of detected fraud or abuse of the terms.
  • We are not responsible for technical failures or transaction rejections by credit card issuers.
